Diplopia Series
This series captures the intricate journey from childhood to adulthood, portraying the tough decisions we face along the way. Each painting reflects on the contrasting choices and conflicts we encounter as we step into grown-up responsibilities. Using symmetry and a unique paper-cutting technique, every artwork vividly portrays the inner struggle between opposing sides. I create distinct shapes using paper cutouts, which are then strategically sprayed onto the canvas. Inspired by Greek mythology, this series adds depth to its story by symbolising the ups and downs of personal growth and self-discovery. By drawing on these ancient tales, the artworks shed light on how our modern struggles echo timeless themes of courage, sacrifice, and finding our place in the world as we navigate the journey to adulthood.
Freedom
"Freedom" is a heartfelt journey into the pure joy and endless imagination that characterise childhood, contrasted with the rules and pressures of grown-up life. This series aims to portray the vibrant and sometimes fantastical realm of childhood, where anything is possible and every day is a new adventure. Using lively colours and fluid shapes, each painting embraces those fleeting instances of spontaneous joy and the deep longing for freedom that resides within every child.
Oneness
Oneness is a five-piece collage series reflecting life's journey from childhood to death. Layered cyanotype, transparent paper, and backlighting bring each stage to life, symbolising our ever-changing identity.
